The goal with our Adaptation Review is to help you move forward and take the next step in your craft, career or project with advice from a seasoned professional in film or television.
One popular thing that film and TV buyers look for in the market are stories that are based on IP (Intellectual Property) that can be greenlit and adapted for the screen. This can include a book or unpublished manuscript, a graphic novel or comic book, an interesting podcast, a blog, an article in a magazine or newspaper and even video games or board games!
Now, exclusively through Stage 32, we are working with top adaptation experts to work with you! With our Adaptation Review you will submit an overview of your Intellectual Property (book, manuscript, graphic novel, article, podcast, etc.), your bio, a synopsis of your work, character descriptions and questions you'd like to ask your executive. Then, you'll schedule a 60 minute (minimum) call to talk through their professional feedback and where it fits in the marketplace. This is your opportunity to build a professional relationship with someone on the inside of the industry. It is also your chance to discuss not only your projects's strengths and weaknesses, but an overall development and sales strategy with the help of a professional.
This is access and expertise you can't get anywhere else.
- You've written a Book or an unpublished Manuscript. You want to discuss the possibility of an adaption of your work. You know that your book or manuscript would make a fantastic Feature Film, Series or Limited Series. It is time to speak with an Industry Professional who has made a career in developing, producing, or selling these projects.
- You have a Graphic Novel. You want to discuss the possibility of an adaption of your work. You know that your graphic novel has some world-building and it will take a specific type of buyer to take the project to the screen. It is time to speak with an Industry Professional who has made a career in developing, producing, or selling these projects.
- You have a podcast, article, blog or creative project that is really interesting. Discuss a strategy for selling your project with Professionals who have been on both sides of the table. If you don't have a solid sales strategy for your script, it can feel like you're just throwing darts in the dark.
- You are ready for Representation for your Career. You have more than one project that is ready for sale. You need the guidance of a Literary Manager to move your projects into the market and discuss all of your career goals and options for getting where you want to be.
- You are ready to make the meaningful connections that will move your script forward. This is your opportunity to build a professional relationship with someone on the inside of the industry. It is also your chance to discuss not only your script's strengths and weaknesses, but an overall development and sales strategy with the help of a professional.
