Shandell King is a Festival Director of Rsfilmfest a DFW High School Film Festival held in Dallas . She is also Founder of La Vie Theaters Inc a 501 (c) (3) Dallas based arts organization. Shandell resides in Texas after many years of producing live events and stage plays in New York City, she is a firm believer in paving the way for talented students in film and media and helping them to cultivate their craft. As a former actress on Tyler Perry's House of Payne and CBS's Guiding Light. Shandell believes if those opportunities were never given it would not have leveraged her to where she is today.
On March 13-19, 2016 her company La Vie Theaters embarks on a wild journey with one of the biggest film festivals to hit Dallas Texas for High Schooler's. The festival intends to bring a sense of community through film of an estimated 10,000 patrons. As DFW is one of the largest supporters of the arts.
