Simon Daum is a German composer that has written music for multiple projects..

Growing up in a family full of musicians, Simon soon discovered his love for composing. Already at the age of three years did he make his first writing attempts on the piano.

It must have been around age 11 that Simon first came across the American pianist and composer Jon Schmidt, today best known from the "The Piano Guys", which greatly influenced his style of writing and also is one of the main reasons why the piano is used almost within all his compositions.

In fact, all of his first compositions were piano solos. But over the years he also discovered his love for orchestral music, of which most has a rather reflective style , somewhat like the music of the american composer Thomas Newman. But here and there you will also discover a powerful and epic tune.

So far, Simon has released 6 music albums, and written over 100 songs for a wide spread variety of films and projects. Currently Simon works on a documentary.
