Hi, I'm Steven Scott, a Los Angeles-based film and media composer, orchestrator, arranger, and conductor. I grew up in Houston, Texas, and was involved with music from a very early age. I joined band in sixth grade and continued to play clarinet all the way through college. I attended Sam Houston State University and received my Bachelors Degree in Music Education. During my undergrad, I took composition lessons and classes in theory, counterpoint, conducting.
I received my Master's degree from the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program taught by Emmy Award-winning composer, Hummie Mann. Under Hummie Mann's supervision, I honed in my skills in theory, composition, orchestration, and conducting. In the program, I got the opportunity to score several short films, and conducted the orchestra to picture on seven recording sessions using professional musicians. Talk about nerve-wracking!
Currently, I am on the music orchestration team for the show Castle on ABC, and I am working on a psychological thriller short film due out later in 2016.
I invite you to listen to some of my music to see if my style is right for your next project.

It is the middle of the 20s and times are troubled since the already fragile equilibrium of secrecy between the unseen world of wizards and the ordinary or "No-Maj" people that the MACUSA Congress struggles to maintain, is at risk of being unsettled. In the meantime, the voices against wizardry keep growing with daily protests led by Mary Lou Barebone and fuelled by the increasing disasters ascribed to a dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald. At the same time, by a twist of fate, Newt's precious suitcase will be switched with the identical one of an aspiring No-Maj baker, Jacob Kowalski, while demoted Auror, Tina Goldstein, arrests Newt for being an unregistered wizard.
