About Taylor

A redhead who hails from Kentucky, Taylor Coriell is a bicoastal writer, director, and award-winning filmmaker addicted to stories about the people and places that make you feel at home with yourself, through the lens of ladycentric dramedies and buddy comedies.

Taylor was a Finalist for the Humanitas New Voices Fellowship 2022, Atlanta Film Festival's 2022 TV pilot competition & Catalyst Content Festival's 2019 Live Pitch Competition, and a Semifinalist for Script Pipeline's 2021 TV pilot competition, Screencraft’s 2022 Diverse Voices Lab, & the 2017 & 2018 Sundance New Voices Labs. Her feature, Ladylike, has also received three 8's on The Black List and was in the Top 15% for the 2022 Nicholl Fellowship.

The first season of her digital series, You're The Pest, made a highly successful run of the 2018-2019 international festival circuit, collecting awards and nominations for Best Acting, Best Ensemble, Best Writing, Best Comedy, and Best of The Fests along the way.

Taylor currently serves as the producer's assistant on Hulu's Life & Beth. Taylor is a member of NYWIFT, Ghetto Film Roster, The Alliance for Women in Media, and Big Vision, Empty Wallet's Kickstart Diversity incubator. Taylor also volunteers for Fair Fight Action, Hood To The Holler, and NYC Parks’ Tree Stewardship Program.
