William Theviolinist

Hello. I am a violinist from Scotland, currently living in France. I started playing violin at the age of 10 and at 14 won a scholarship to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music. After completing my studies and winning first prize in many competitions I toured with most of the major orchestras in Scotland. I then left for Germany, where I was leader of the Passau State Opera Orchestra. After that I joined the world famous Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra where I played and toured for over 3 years.

I have played in many bands, from jazz to rock, including my own Bill Stewart Quintet, and love being pushed in at the deep end. It is there where real music lives.

I am now working on and playing my own music and released my 4th solo album in September 2013. This is highly emotional music, mixing soundtrack/classical and world, and I play and record all the instruments and compose all the music myself.
