About Towonda

Towonda was born in rural Marvell, Arkansas. Her experiences growing up there gave her reason to remember stories to tell. Much of her writing touches on current events and personal issues from her surrounding environment. Her college studies begun at University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. After the first semester, she transferred to Nancy Bounds School of the Arts in Omaha, NE. From there she went on to do runway modeling in Milan, Italy.

Afterwards, she returned to the U.S. and moved to Lubbock, Texas. In Texas, she landed an opportunity to produce the first fashion show production for Reese Air Force Base, which resulted in an improved relationship with the community. She spent the next two years as Tour Director of Reese Air Force Base Morale Welfare Recreation where she produced musical tours outside of Lubbock and promoted the first Lubbock urban concert featuring the musical artist, MC Hammer at the civic center. I then went on to train local girls for Barbizon Modeling School in Dallas, TX for their satellite classes. A year later, she opened LeMode Modeling School that trained models and produced fashion shows.
The time came in 1996 to move to Atlanta, GA. She returned to my studies at National Louis University while working for Sutherland Law Firm for three years. Her prolific writing and creativity years led her to write and produce her first stage play to tour: Can a Hoochie Become First Lady, starring Keith Sweat, Phyllis Yvonne Stickney, and Q Parker. She continued with another family stage play Mama, I’m Your Child starring Bernadette Stanis, Howard Hewitt and Dave Hollister. A shift came and she wanted something different in between writing my first TV series show bible she created her first musical Cheezecake Boiz & the Diva, opening at the 14th Street Playhouse in Atlanta, GA. From there my catalog grew to Film and TV writing. She spent three year writing and developing Show Bibles, Loglines, Premises and Scripts.

Currently she is shopping three projects for tv, also with returning the musical Cheezecake Boiz & The Diva for a live filming. She currently live in Atlanta with her Yorkee-Poo Pico.

Unique traits: Development of loglines for concepts.
