Actor singer songwriter Tony Battelle, was born and raised on New York City’s Manhattan Island. As a child and teen actor Tony modeled in print and appeared in many Off and Off Off Broadway productions including Macbeth with Rip Torn and Geraldine Page, who personally encouraged Tony in his career. Tony attended Professional Children’s School alongside the likes of Adam Arkin, Yo Yo Ma, David Henesy to name a few. Tony moved to California in 1978 to attend California Institute of the Arts where he performed, designed and directed his own projects. In Los Angeles He continued to perform on television and film in such shows as “Delvecchio”, “Gimme A Break”, “Father Murphy” with Merlin Olsen. He also continued working in theatre at the famous Hollywood Actor’s membership theater Theatre West.
After a series of life’s up and downs, Tony returned to performing, but this time as a musician, writing and performing original blues material with his Blues-Rock band The BlueCats, who can be heard on their recent 2012 CD and iTunes Album, “Earthquake Mama”. Tony is happy to return once more to his first love acting,. He has recently completed a commercials workshop with Stuart Robinson. He is currently represented by Rage Talent.
Unique traits: Plays a mean blues harp.
