About Len

Currently living in exile on the Isle of Wight in a beachside town which has played host to several notable historic figures, including Karl Marx, Lewis Carroll and Charles Darwin. So far, my contribution to this proud pedigree is being fined for a late book return by the library which Karl Marx was known to frequent.

A voice for wildlife conservation; I made guest appearances on Australian and UK radio and podcasts, documented Japan's dolphin slaughter and worked with activists like Ric O'Barry - the former dolphin trainer from the 60's TV show 'Flipper'. This gave rise to three published books on marine conservation - 'Salt Water Tears', 'Deeper Water' and 'Home'.

Musically, I have extensive live performance and studio experience as lead vocalist and lyricist for several Australian bands.

My screenwriting work includes feature length movies and TV sitcoms; typically interweaving social issues into a comedy romp. My stageplay 'Dark Chocolate' - a theater of the absurd piece - was recently picked up by Manchester Performing Arts Society.

I love language and communication. Human behavior continues to confound, amaze and humor me, and perhaps the fact that I am on the Asperger's spectrum has contributed to this. I write from the fundamental that all characters are flawed in some way, but there is something magic or unique that we can find in them, or learn from them, if we look closely enough.

I am also an unashamed nerd. If called upon to de-fuse an unexploded bomb, I would definitely cut the blue wire.

Unique traits: Cannot be killed by conventional weapons. Speaks fluent Sarcasm with a heavy Ironic accent.
