Greetings!

As well as writing my own screenplays, I am also a story/structure analyst for other writers and film makers.

I am a former writer and cameraman for a local charity, Ipswich Community Television.


Story/structure analysis:

Our story & structure analysis provides a lifeline for writers, filmmakers and producers who inevitably run into creative roadblocks during the writing and production stage of film making.

If various elements of your screenplay or film are not holding up as expected, it's usually the structure that isn't properly in place.

Most don't fully grasp or implement the fundamentals of screenwriting - even seasoned writers and filmmakers. What follows is confusion, analysis paralysis and plenty of headaches. Most end up mired in frustration before asking anyone and everyone for help; most of whom aren't skilled enough or qualified to offer a solution.

What's needed is examination, diagnosis and treatment. The first two are a relatively quick process. The cure however can take a little longer. Whatever the issue, we can guide and steer you in the right direction with almost immediate effect.

The path to a writing career is not an easy one, and requires stamina, commitment, courage, and, at times, a pit bull mindset. We understand the difficulties involved when starting out, which is why each year, we choose a select few 'newbies' to mentor and guide on a pro Bono basis - progress and momentum are very important to us.


Since I’ve enlisted his help with novel and script writing my ability has developed considerably. His structure and character analysis of my material, with suggested improvements, has aided my work, which in a number of cases, I’ve entered into competitions and gone on to win awards.
