Responsibilities:

1. Project Development:

   • Collaborate with writers, directors, and development teams to identify potential projects for development.
   • Evaluate scripts, story ideas, and concepts to determine their feasibility and market potential.
   • Provide creative input and guidance throughout the development process to maintain artistic integrity and commercial viability.

2. Financing and Budgeting:

   • Secure financing for film projects through partnerships, investors, studios, or production companies.
   • Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
   • Negotiate contracts, licensing agreements, and distribution deals to maximize revenue potential.

3. Production Oversight:

   • Supervise all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
   • Work closely with producers, directors, and department heads to facilitate smooth operations on set.
   • Monitor production schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

4. Talent Management:

   • Collaborate with casting directors to select and negotiate contracts with actors, crew members, and other talent.
   • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment that promotes creativity, professionalism, and mutual respect.
   • Provide mentorship and support to emerging filmmakers and industry professionals.

5. Distribution and Marketing:

   • Develop strategic marketing and distribution plans to maximize audience reach and revenue potential.
   • Coordinate promotional activities, including press releases, screenings, and publicity events.
   • Liaise with distributors, exhibitors, and streaming platforms to secure favourable distribution deals and release windows.

6. Legal and Compliance:

   • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, copyright laws, and contractual obligations.
   • Review and negotiate legal agreements, including licensing agreements, talent contracts, and distribution contracts.
   • Manage rights acquisition and intellectual property issues to protect the interests of the production company and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Executive Producer or similar role in the film industry.
• In-depth knowledge of film production processes, industry trends, and best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and contract negotiation.
• Creative vision and the ability to identify and develop compelling storytelling concepts.
• A strong network of industry contacts, including talent agents, financiers, and distributors.
• Bachelor’s degree in film production, media studies, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
