SASS follows a group of South Asian college students as they navigate identity, friendship, and ambition through the lens of their university’s South Asian Student Society (yes, also called SASS). It’s Dear White People meets Never Have I Ever — rooted in culture, packed with heart, and brimming with wit and generational tension. Think: chai-fueled debates, club elections gone rogue, first loves, family expectations, and the messy magic of finding your people. ✨ Why this series matters: It’s the kind of representation we don’t see enough of — layered, joyful, and unapologetically specific It captures a formative time of life through a fresh, authentic lens And it’s co-created by two creatives passionate about telling this story right We’re looking for a creative partner with experience in dramedy or ensemble stories, who is excited about centering underrepresented voices and helping us launch something fresh and meaningful.
