About Jorel

I am an American / European award winning Cinematographer, member of the SOC, and Local 600 Union. I own and operate an Arri Alexa Mini, Ronin R2, and AntigravityCam.

I was raised in the States, though after living in the EU for over 7 years, I became a duel citizen, thus I am a great option for overseas projects, as well as States based projects. I am local to Los Angeles.

The most recent features I've worked on as AntigravityCam Operator are "The Birthday Cake" Directed by Jimmy Giannopoulos, and "True To The Game 2" Directed by Jamal Hill, I DP'd a Blumhouse Horror film "HURT" Directed by Sonny Mallhi, and Camera Operated on the suspense thriller "Burning Shadow" with Julie Delpy.

Short Films: DP'd "Me Tambien" which I won the Zeiss Cinematography Award Short Category at the Downtown LA Film Festival 2019.

In TV I have worked on CBS Show "Seal Team" Directed by Jimmy Muro, and I have DP'd Multiple Episodes of "Made From Scratch", 1 Episode of "Struggle Gourmet", and worked on 6 episodes of "Like, Share, Dimalo!" on FUSE TV.

I have DP'd more than 20 commercials for Lauren Conrad Kohls Collection, and her children's clothing line Little Co.
I have DP'd 2 Campaigns for MeUndies.

And I have been the AntigravityCam Operator on 6 Jaguar Commercials, 2 Fidelity Commercials, and 3 Ring Commercials.

I have been in the industry for 18 years, and began my journey after film school in the acting track, as I found it easier to become involved in larger scale projects, though I studied cinematography and learned shooting 16mm film.

I am working freelance and am always available to talk about potential projects. My life is truly dedicated to the craft. The work is the most important thing in my life. Let's make solid, high-level content!

Unique traits: I play Jazz saxophone. I can do a few accents. Scottish being my favorite. I won the best actor award in the 1st International Beijing Theatre Festival in 2005. I've acted in theatre and film in Paris, London, NYC, and LA. I'm a great cook, and always have very good catering on my sets!
