About Joshua

I am an award-winning filmmaker living in Texas. I earned his MFA in Film and Television from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a concentration in Screenwriting and Directing, and my films have won accolades such as Best of Fest, Best Drama, and Director’s Award.

My thesis film, DAWN, screened at several film festivals including the Cannes Short Film Corner and the prestigious CAMERIMAGE in Poland. After graduating, I was commissioned to film ELIAS, a short documentary on Dr. Elias Ghanem, the “Doctor to the Stars”. In 2018, I was given permission to follow and document Operation-Identification, a group of forensic anthropologists who identify and repatriate the remains of migrants who pass away while crossing the boarder. OP-ID is now available to watch on Amazon Prime.

Additionally, my screenplay, BONESEED, was a Semi-Finalist in the Killer Shorts Horror Screenplay Competition (2020) and Quarterfinalist in FLIMATICS’s Short Screenplay Competition (2021). My short screenplay, THE CONFESSION, was a Killer Shorts Quarterfinalist in 2021, and is slated to be filmed as part of a new horror anthology feature.

In between directing films and writing screenplays, I produce marketing videos for various brands. A job that has taken me across the country and into the jungles in Ecuador. I am huge also a fan of dive bars, Lone Star beer, and I am an avid hiker and camper.
