Find a RESPECTED acting school or coach and start with classes. The coach should preferably be a current working actor who knows the ins and outs of your particular market. Depending on your child's instincts, it could take a year or 2 of training before you get any real traction with booking gigs. What major city are you closest to?
We're in New Jersey and decided on pursuing New York. They have been acting for some years in local theater but will be on their first film shoot next week!
