One Degree...or Keep taking steps forward no matter how small

It's the little things done consistently that amount to much.

I was listening to one of Eddie Pinero's podcasts and he used the illustration of how ice starts melting at 32°F. At 31°F there may not be a visible change, but that one degree shift to 32°F makes all the difference.

Maybe you're learning a new accent for one hour, three days a week. Or you're doing a ten-minute vocal workout every day. It may not look like much, but over time it adds up to something. So keep taking that step, working on your craft, building relationships with people. Just because you can't see something big happening in your career i.e booking the job, it doesn't mean what you're doing isn't working.

Remember, all it takes is one degree to change things. So keep taking those steps forward. They all add up.

Good way to look at it. Thanks!

That's a really good point, and comes at a really good time - so many of us drop out of our efforts from New Year's resolutions that we may not see the value in small investments over time. As actors, we can be quite drawn to the BIG gesture, but it's so easy to flame out. Thank you for the reminder!

Eyiara, such a great reminder - I was thinking of the same! I I think celebrating each milestone is also a must - this will not only help see the bigger picture but motivate others to take the small steps. And, yes, not get burned out
