30 years later it still holds up

I had the pleasure of seeing this for the zillionth time at the Hollywood Bowl a couple weeks ago.

it was such a mess during development- truly a miracle that it got made, but to the heights it rose a miracle times a billion and change.

The Lion King wasn't expected to be a big hit at the box office, but it ultimately became the crowning glory of the '90s Disney Renaissance.

I was a BIG Lion King fan as a kid, Laurie Ashbourne. I think Toy Story was the only animated movie that moved me as much as Lion King.
