I might have used Spider-Verse as an example before but there is something to be said about just how much of a game-changer the art style, animation process, and over-all visual storytelling went into this film. Here is a video discussing 3 rules that the films broke, and an interesting intro into VR. Where do you envision animation going in the next few years?

I'd like to see more animated movies with the Spider-Verse style, Daniel Husbands. And animated shows. Or if not the Spider-Verse style, I'd like to see movies and shows with other new styles.

This is my favorite movie, so I can gush about it all day long. But to me what is truly impressive about Spider-Verse isn't just that the style and process were game-changing, it was how they used it all to truly amplify the story. As a lifelong comic book fan and Spider-Man fan, I can't really describe how it felt to see a comic book truly come to life on the screen. The style choices made it feel like a true adaptation of the medium in a way that wasn't cheesy or awkward. What I hope to see more of as the technology continues to evolve, are more creative ways for animation to lift up other storytelling mediums and artistic styles.
