When I’m teaching young animators, the concept of straight, linear in-betweens is usually what I start with.
By the time they’re older teens, I can bring in the principles of eases and breakdowns. I might use some of Danila’s tutorials to help with that. (Or create my own.)

I remember Eric Goldberg stating he didn't thumbnail a scene. I like floating between straight-ahead animation and pose-to-pose - it keeps things interesting..
