This certainly appears to be a step in the right direction. What do you all think?

Expand postI think it's a step in the right direction, and I'm glad to hear the news, Ashley Renee Smith. From what I've heard, animators are severely overworked and underpaid.
Unionizing will no doubt help those who need better bargaining power. A good thing.
My animation jobs have been small team work-for-hire gigs. Not in the same arena as these animators on bigger produc...
Expand commentnot to quote Taylor Swift, but band-aids don't fix bullet holes. WB has lost and tossed so much of it's value in the animation world the headline is essentially click bait -- because there's not much...

I'm going to write a more in depth review for my blog later, but I saw Wish the other night, and I think it might be one of the worst Disney movies ever. I didn't care for the animation style, the story was middling and full of holes, the characters were uninteresting and not particularly likable an...
Expand postMaurice Vaughan no, Pixar was not on this one. It was produced in Burbank.
Oh ok, Brian Smith. Thanks. I wonder why Pixar movies have such great storytelling, but some Disney movies don't. They're both part of Disney, so I'd think movies from Pixar and Disney would have the...
Expand commentSomething definitely felt off in the trailer. The tone, the humor, felt more like a kids film than a family (four quadrant) film. I was intrigued by the textured style in the art however.
Jed Power, you haven't enjoyed ANY Disney movies since Davy? What was it about that film that stood out so strongly to you?

Just finished Pluto on Netflix. It's an 8 part anime series on Netflix that was directly inspired by Astro Boy. The best way I can describe this series is that it should be considered the base standard for all anime moving forward. That's not to say that it's average or mediocre. Quite the opposite....
Expand postTerrence Sellers I will check it out. Thanks for the recommendation, Terrence.
Amanda Toney Hi Amanda, Pluto is a Japanese production.
Terrence Sellers wow, Terrence. Freakin’ awesome and I’ve just watched the trailer. Right from the start, the cityscape artwork was amazing, so eye-catching. I’ll definitely be watching it....

I enjoy a good anime with a great storyline and characters. I believe I have come up with a brilliant storyline with amazing characters and an amazing world. My biggest problem is that I cannot draw to save my life, and I really don't know where to start. Any ideas or anyone willing to help would be fantastic
Hi, @Behnjamin Larin. I agree with Andria about finding an artist to draw your characters. You could post an ad for an artist in the Job Section (www.stage32.com/find-jobs). You could also find artist...

The unofficial art book genre is one to keep an eye on. For animators and animation fans, there’s DRAWING FOR NOTHING, covering projects that either were not completed or had many changes.
