Sandra and I talked to Tony Gonçalves, who was the former CRO of Warnermedia, the Executive Producer of Tribeca-Lisbon (October 2024) and now the Founder and CEO of The Evrose Group.
This interview is the next in a series for the Seeing Rachel YouTube Channel and we hope you enjoy it.
I asked Tony about pitching to investors and he told us to focus not on the what, but the why? That the ‘how’ of any success is “not to relent”. There is much more wisdom about pitching, on the video! We also talked about #womeninfilm with questions from Sandra.
Tony generously gave us an hour of his time, for which we are so thankful.
Please check out the interview and share your thoughts below.

Fantastic interview, Geoff Hall, Sandra Isabel Correia, and Tony! Helpful advice and insight! Tony talked about nurturing relationships. That’s important! It’s great to network, but are we nurturing the relationships after we network with people for the first time? I nurture some relationships every day, but I don’t nurture some of them as much as I should. One thing I do sometimes – and I need to do more – is go through my Stage 32 network and my other networks to see which relationships I need to nurture.

I am so happy you watched Maurice Vaughan. Yes, nurturing is the PHD of networking skills. Isn’t easy, but is the key for the people you want to connect for your professional life. We can’t nurturing everyone, but we need to create our inner circle and nurture them. At a personal level, we nurture in a different way. A simple “Hey, how are you” can do a lot :)) Tony is a very special person, besides his amazing professional career. Took me some months to achieve him, but I didn’t have gave up and now, we have this beautiful Seeing Rachel interview!

Great points, Sandra Isabel Correia! And you're right. We can’t nurture everyone, but we need to create our inner circle and nurture them. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

Maurice Vaughan thank you, Maurice. And I’m glad that it’s inspired you to look at your network and see where relationships need to be nurtured. I want to do that so we have meaningful relationships with people who share that common creative spark.

Maurice Vaughan thanks again, Maurice. This all feels like infrastructure, but my hearts cry this morning, was let’s get to it and call “Action!” on the project. I know, a little impetuous, but y’know I’ve been at this a while and am feeling the need to get on with these disruptive narratives!

You're welcome, Geoff Hall. I know what you mean. Sometimes I just want to pitch a script, but I know I need to wait and make the script the best I can. The wait's worth it though.
