For a while, some of the boys and I have been discussing making a short movie. I do not have a video-editing software and the only camera that will be used for making the movie is my Nikon D3100. We have an idea of how we want to shoot the movie and what the story will be, but without an video-editing program (I did ask about it before and tried some of the suggested programs, but most needed to be paid for and others weren't easy for me to use) and a producer to get the movie out there, it will be like a home video shared only among ourselves. We want to be able to make a good movie with sounds and props, and to maybe earn money from it. I will be writing the screenplay and likely filming the movie because of the idea. We aren't sure when we will do it but we hope to do it when the weather starts getting warm. If you'd like to add me on Skype or to help out, send me a message and we can maybe discuss the movie. I don't want to say too much right now.

These things have a way of working themselves out. Google+ Communities #perkyfeet #socialbud #Ridechekit
Most things do. But it never hurts to ask for help. :)
Get sony vegas. It's $50. You won't need the pro version until you learn what to do with more than 4 video tracks. Use tutorials on youtube. If you can't figure that out then you should focus your time on recruiting an editor rather than editing yourself.
That is why I'm asking for an editor to help. :)
