Emma Thompson stars in this wonderful film on Hulu, that I highly recommend.
It’s about a widow who explores her sexuality with a gorgeous, young male sex worker played by Daryl McCormack. As a woman over 60, I found it very empowering. Not many films focus on the sexual awakening of a sexagenarian female.
And Emma was incredibly brave and beautiful in the love scenes and in the remarkable scene in which she looks at her naked body in the mirror.
It is also an incredible lesson on writing and producing contained movies. Most of the story takes place in one hotel room, but I never felt trapped or bored. By focusing the story on their relationship and her journey to sexual awakening the writer kept me engrossed the entire time.
Check it out if you are a screenwriter and/or filmmaker interested in contained films.

I enjoyed this movie. I realized that I was really engaged in the dialogue. No matter where the conversation was going it always lead back to Nancy's quest. I loved that they took the profession of a sex worker and made it more complex. He wasn't just providing sex as a service and being judged and her trying to tell him there's more to just being a sex worker. There was more to the service than sex. I agree that I was not bored. I've only known horror films to have this type of containment in their films. Though everything happened in one room, there was a lot to pay attention to as the scenes kept changing.
