My ex-wife got married last Thursday and my daughter went with them on their honeymoon. Because of a lack of cell service, I have not spoken to my daughter since last Friday evening. This is the longest I have ever gone without speaking to her & it is making me very depressed. :'(
I know it must be tough to sit through the silence, but just know that your daughter is experience a new life experience wherever she's traveled to that will only help her grow as a person. Think about it this way - the minute she gets back you're going to be the first person that she will call to tell about all the things she saw or did. You'll be proud to see your daughter grow from it. And that will make you proud as a father. Until then, I'd say don't get depressed, be proud! Plus, sit back, eat some ice cream and pop open that Netflix queue you've been meaning to get to :)
Oh, I know. I have been attached to the couch & burning my retinas with Netflix
