For a producer, one of the main responsibilities is to abide by each union’s specific contract and remain in compliance with all union rules. Failure to do so could result in grievance actions, fines, or even work stoppages. This course will give you an overview of the paperwork, including contractual, required by unions prior to production, during production and at the end of production. The course will cover the purpose of each document and the implications, including legal, civil, and criminal if they are not properly filed with the unions or the state in which filming is taking place.
At the end of the course you will have an understanding of where to find the templates for each document, the timeline and frequency for filing such documents and the needed information required in order to file each document and remain in compliance. Hi, My name is Julie and I am based out of NYC. I am looking to film my first short this coming new year. I know nothing about contracts, etc. This is going to help me immensely with the pre-production and how to move forward with hiring and payment of the cast and crew.
