I just added two sci-fi/horror scripts, "After the End" and "The Darkness Below Paradise" (formerly called "Stone's Throw From Hell") to this site. I took several months off to educate myself about the art and craft of screenwriting. The most important thing I did was read and take copious notes from "Save the Cat!". Blake Synder's bible for screenwriters was just what the doctor ordered. His 15-beat story structure is a fantastic way of reigning in but not smothering one's creativity. I'm now onto writing out an outline for my tale of alcoholic superheroes, "The Unhappy Hour" and will use Synder's The Board method to make sure my script hits all the right notes at the right times.
