I'm tired of the cheezy redos and sequiles. I understand making a buck but I'd like to see more original stuff. Although, when you think about it - this bodes well for the Indie Filmmaker's world.
A.S. - Absolutely agree with you. WILLIAM GOLDMAN who just passed who was one of the most accomplished screenwriters had a phrase that was coined: "Nobody knows anything"
Essentially saying you never know what will make a box office hit. "A" listers or fresh faces.
The 1 change - the story should be worth the time, trouble and money made to produce it and should enhance, enable and benefit those who see it. As with any artform, worth may be difficult to define but if the author does not find that benefit, how can the audience?
