To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

I've done reading Where The Crawdads Sing a few months back, and to be honest, coming from outside US, I don't really understand the social (or maybe political) issue behind it--personally speaking. However the issue of repression against people who have 'differences' with the majority of people in one cluster or group and the bitter outcome of it is familiar and relatable.

As for To Kill A Mockingbird, after reading it for quite a while, I kind of understand why this book--despite having reputation as one of the classics--created quite a stir in society in general. In my opinion, books (or stories) are a safest place where we can learn something, and every issues raised in it should have a solution at the end of it, or at least could bring illumination or practical correction in real life. I haven't reached the end of this book, and somehow I have high hopes for it.

So good. We all read To Kill A Mockingbird in High School. There is also a movie starring Gregory Peck, I would recommend watching it after you finish the book.

@suzannebronson just finished it and you are absolutely right! It is soooo good. Probably the best book I've ever read so far!

Sydney Summers

I haven't read that book in so long! I loved the movie :)
