Hi, Just wanted to add a tribute to James Horner, who tragically lost his life at the age of 61 in a plane crash in California. Horner was one of the true greats of contemporary composing, with so many wonderful credits alongside the Oscar-winning score for TITANIC (and that song about the heart going on) Other notable scores included the following: BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS (1980) 48 HRS (1982) STAR TREK II - THE WRATH OF KHAN (1982) GORKY PARK (1983) BRAINSTORM (1983) COMMANDO (1985) ALIENS (1986) APOLLO 13 (1995) BRAVEHEART (1995) He will be sadly missed

It's so disheartening what a tragedy this was, but he left a beautiful gift for the whole world to enjoy for many years to come.
Listening to Braveheart and Apollo 13 right now in his honor.
indeed, between wrath of khan and titanic, he inspired me to score films. I wouldn't be in the industry without him, was looking forward to meeting him.
BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS is still his best - really spoke out when I saw the film in 1981 and was a soundtrack import from Rhino Records in 1985
