Hi Everyone, One of the producers we're working with, has asked us if we'd be interested in directing our own short film. While we have a pretty good vision/idea on how we'd like to see it develop on-screen, we were wondering if you guys could help us out with maybe some literature, websites, tips and storyboarding ideas as this would be our first time directing and taking the helm of our own project? Obviously, we're very excited, but it's also extremely daunting thinking about everything that needs taking care of. Many thanks in advance!
I don't know too many things on tips on directing. nofilmschool.com is a good place to learn some stuff, same with indiewire. The best thing for storyboarding is just drawing what the shots are in your head whatever extra shots you may want or can't decide on. The best thing is to keep your set moving. Always being ahead of your crew, knowing shots ahead of time, and keeping the crew on task.
