Hi, All Creative people out there.
I'm new here so I'll make it brief about myself, I'm a self-taught writer/director and a musician based in Singapore and hope to get out of this country because of its strict censorship. As I'm typing this down, I'm in pre-production for my feature film, "ANNA" a "Neon-Noir" film set in a city called Jahat. It's Malay that translates to Bad. I'm looking forward to talking to you guys and maybe collaborate on a project together.
Thank you

Welcome, Huzaifah! How's your story craft? Do you own a SCREENWRITERS BIBLE?
i actually do own a copy of it! but i try to do it freely as to not constrain myself to a rigid structure.
Wrong answer, buddy
Well I do read alot and study how it works etc. But I do believe that why not deconstruct the establishment. The beat generation won't happen if they didn't do it. Well it's just my opinion. There are no right or wrong answer to creativity :)
You're one of those guys who doesn't identify in and wants to reinvent the wheel. That's cool. I've been there - done that. But a master storyteller knows structure is the same as playing on a field or court. Show your skills within the boundaries and you shine. Try running out of bounds wIth the ball and see how far you get before the whistle blows. Pros knows structure and genre, and unless we do, we won't go pro. You can bet the bank on that. We make it harder on ourselves when we try to reinvent the wheel.
Save yourself time by learning your genre like the back of your hand. TRUBY'S MASTER STORYTELLER CLASSES are the sh@@. I own all of his audio lectures on iTunes.
I appreciate your comments. But as a filmmaker, My masters are PT Anderson, Jon Ronson, Lynne Ramsay. before you say I'm one of those people, I actually learn scriptwriting and quit. I just want to learn the basics and I want to write how i want to write, call me stubborn but that's how it is. fyi ive read John Truby's The Anatomy of story. I feel that's my Jam
