Amazon Gets Hands Slapped By the UK

Prime Video was found in breach of the part of the code that prohibits harmful content on what Ofcom calls on-demand program services (ODPS).

In a world of theocratic political policies in the UK and the US, yes, perhaps this film is controversial, but have they even watched any movies previously released? 8 MM; we all know about Pretty Baby; hell, even Angel Heart when you learn about the truth of the sex scene; Trainspotting baby; and probably half the thrillers and documentaries.

I mean, they're pearl clutching over Eminem's new Houdini song as if they never met Slim Shady.

What are your thoughts? It just makes me want to see this movie.

Great Eminem line, Debbie Elicksen. It may be that double edge - it's a new code and what's the point if they don't enforce it and at the same time it'll make some people want to see the film to judge for themselves.

Sam Sokolow The clapback of the Eminem fans that go back to listening to Shady and Marshall Mathers at age 8 on TikTok are delicious. It made me relisten to "Kim" and "Cleaning Out My Closet" to which the latter spoke volumes to me and cemented me as a fan. All the pearl clutching back then couldn't get him cancelled. These Houdini lyrics are super mild.

The best thing that ever happened to the metal genre, Eminem, and all musicians was the Tipper Gore/Congress pearl clutching, where Dee Snider schooled them on reality and the hearings created the "Explicit Content" label. Those records were the first to sell.
