Here is a question for any distributors. I imagine that when films were expensive to make your job would have been to find and contract a job film. These days I imagine that with the massive drop in production costs, your job has changed to sorting through the masses of available material. Is the issue these days finding the needle in the hay stack? Or keeping the haystack away and trusting tested sources? Thanks.
The Majors keep the haystack away and trust their own (tested) sources. The Majors have all the channels (and all the funding to green-light).
So Larry's right..the next level is the "Indie" sales agent. Hundreds of films given a week.
Thank you for your comments.
