Conservatory vs. degree

Before I ask the question, I know at the end of the day this question is based on opinion but I would really like to hear/read anyone's thoughts on this... I would like to know if as an actor would you rather go to a conservatory (which I would rather) or get a bachelors degree in drama/theater/acting (any of those equivalents) and why?

You have to be incredibly clear on why you want to go to school for acting. If you are going to graduate with massive debt, you are setting yourself up for a very difficult time. There is no safety anymore and life is very expensive, especially in a big city. It could take you years to start earning enough money to sustain yourself as an actor, and staying positive when you struggle to pay rent can be very challenging. There are many ways to learn the craft that don't cost a fortune.
