What's the backlash?...I'm out of the loop.

I think people are jealous of her success. I think it's a brilliant show and she's a very talented writer. If all us writers could have a show on HBO, we would all only be too lucky.

I live in New York City and work with a lot of 20-something girls. I have not met any girls that act like girls on that show. It's completely unrealistic.

There's something to be said about the show being fiction. I haven't watched enough of it to see if it has anything important to say, which is the only fit standard to judge a work by.
