Introduce Yourself : Director / Writer / Storyteller by Erik Blair

Hello, all you 32-folk! As it's Introduce Yourself Weekend, I'm chiming in. My name is Erik Blair and I'm a storyteller--by which I mean I love telling stories in any medium and in any fashion. In the past, I've: * Built a theater in West Texas so I could direct over 30 live productions in 3 years * Came to Los Angeles for USC to get an M.F.A. in Film/Video Production * Worked as a Production Coordinator for Sony Online Entertainment * Built the narrative and clue designs for ARGs * Written and directed shorts and television pilots * Worked with video games--mobile, console and online That all being said, here's my current goals/interests: * Screenwriting for hire -- if you've got an idea, ping me. I love helping take a concept and make it work * Development -- same as above, but on a larger scale. If people have ideas not yet fleshed into a project, I'd love to collaborate * Funding -- I've got a YouTube channel ready to go into production, with the first project ready once funding is complete. Working seriously on this now * Team-building -- I want to get a posse of creative types together and have a working roster of folk that are willing to work as a group on each other's projects. That's what I had with my theater, and it's time to build it anew. * Speaking of theater -- I want to direct theater again. So if there's anyone looking for a theatrical director (or in the LA area who can connect me with people who make those decisions), send me a request. I miss doing live theater and want to be back in that space as well. There, that's more intro than anyone probably needs.
