I am a traditionally published author of six historical novels with two more releasing this year. My books have been translated into four languages and all have won awards. One of my books received a starred review in Publishers Weekly, which means nothing to readers but a great deal to industry insiders. I'm also a writing instructor, editor, coach.
After years of my editor telling me that I 'set the scenes too much like a script,' and readers writing to tell me that my 'work is so visual, they could see it as if it were a movie,' I've decided to turn my pen to scripts. After some education, some not so great scripts, I've learned a great deal and am writing a series based on my award-winning trilogy, Da Vinci's Disciples.

Hi Donna, I have the same issue and think I might be better working at scriptwriting. Having said that with eight published works you are clearly doing something right!
Thanks so much everyone. Your encouragement couldn't come at a better time...I have a Skype pitch session this afternoon. Fingers crossed.
Welcome to the even more visual world of movie literature. You sound like a natural for the writer of an arresting movie.
