Thanks for reading my post everyone! Looking forward to meeting many of you.
The last little while saw Papa John's running a national campaign and having me voice a character role for them. Plus, this past month my producer and I were able to deliver another five audiobooks to the publishers.
Continuing to work using Source Connect from my professional home-studio. Hoping everyone's been doing well during the COVID-19 pandemic and have been enjoying working from home, too.

Hey, Dana Negrey (I'm A Guy!)! Nice to meet you! I love your brand logo! Aww, DUDE, I love your bio! Now I just want to go play in my tiny closet-made-into-a-VO-recording-booth (it's behind my Rosie-the-Riveter/Wonder-Woman Mash-up Art Print LOL).
I have to ask, though - why a Masters in Education? My mother got her masters in Adult Education and since teaching film production to teenagers last year, adult education has become a hot topic in our household LOL!
You should definitely check out the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) - I know the other members would love to hear your insight, and we're ALL talking about recording from home right now LOL!
Enjoy exploring, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too!
Nice to meet you, Karen. Thanks for the compliments :)
The M.Ed. was part of my life journey. Being an actor, musician, teacher, curriculum specialist, and educational leader compliment what I bring to the mic every day. If there's one thing I've learned about performance, it's that we have to constantly (re)educate ourselves. The Master's degree was wonderful in giving me tools to use as a lifelong learner. I suspect you and your mom know what I mean!
Thanks for the tips and suggestions. Looking forward to connecting and sharing with others on here.
(love the art print concept, btw!)

I have seen a few writers on the screenwriting lounge say they are thinking of doing audio of their screenplays. It may be worth posting over there. If that is the work you would be willing to do.
Thank you Craig!

Do you have a clip of your voice? By the way, what type of curriculum writing did you do?

Hi Dana- Good to talk to you. Yes- In these COVID times. practicing a lot of voice work. Keep in contact. Sincerely- Ed Skirtich
Hi Ricki. My voiceover demos are posted at www.DanaNegrey.comMy curriculum work was mainly for Arts Education and Competency Development. I advised in other areas, but my focus was on these.
Edward, voiceover is an exciting career to get into - and I'm often asked about it - so I've collected a few articles, websites & blogs about getting started to share with those who are curious about this industry.
My advice right out of the gate: approach voiceover like you would any small business. Be ready to invest time and money while you build it into a career. That being said, and if you're still with me . . .
The first place I direct many people wondering about voiceover is here:
https://www.sarahsealey.com/so-you-want-to-be-a-voice-over/
Next, I suggest these two sites for general advice and info:
https://iwanttobeavoiceactor.comhttps://voiceoversandvocals.com/
I suggest, too, spending time looking through the posts on these blogs:
Tom Dheere: https://tomdheere.com/blog/Dave Courvoisier: https://courvo.comPaul Strikwerda: http://www.nethervoice.com/nethervoice/
FYI: Paul also wrote a book called Making Money In Your PJ's about life as a freelance voice actor.
Recommended podcasts for those wanting to know more about VO include:
Jamie Muffett: https://soundcloud.com/voschoolAs well, the ones by Marc Scott and Jodi Krangle are worth looking up and listening to.
The right coaching is essential. Paul Boucher and Dan Willmott with VoiceSpot were my first coaches:

I know it’s a lot to take in.... let me know how things go. In the meantime, enjoy the journey!
Cheers,
Dana
