Hello fellow creatives, I have a based on a true story screenplay that has a social injustice spin to it. I am hoping I can find a manager, producer, and/or director that would be interested in working with me on getting this script made.
Logline: Based on a true story, an abused woman struggles through an ugly custody battle. In the process, she uncovers an elaborate scam saturated with corruption throughout the Arizona judicial system, which steals her son, home, and career from her. She must go to extreme lengths to set the record straight by placing her trust in a federal prosecutor to win her life back.
People say the system is broken, but it's something else… In 2014 Harvard did a study, and Arizona had the highest instance of illegal corruption.
Comparable Films: Sleeping with the Enemy, Enough, The Deep End of the Ocean, The Rainmaker, Erin Brockovich – Although nothing is quite like this.
