This is my second (or third, I can't remember) introduce yourself. I've been at the craft going on three years now. I've had the sweet, bitter taste of rejection but I'm like a kid with a Warhead candy in his mouth: the taste is bitter, but you still love it and want that sweet, juicy center. Currently, I've got a spec in the WB Writers Workshop and a feature in the 2nd Annual Happy Writers feature contest, the PAGE, and IRA fast track; I also write articles for the Script Lab on the craft of screenwriting when I'm not tearing my hair out with another project. That last one is unpaid, but i'm not in it for the money, just the exposure--that, and I want out of retail. I'm fucking miserable, lol. Oh, and, just keep writing : )
Good luck - hopefully you place in all the contests! Also, preach, hate retail.

I'll admit: you get some great material working in retail. The people that come in... it's, like, GOLD.
