Introduce Yourself : Happy whatever you celebrate by Eric Schumacher

Happy whatever you celebrate

Greetings fellow creative types. I am an actor-producer-director. I am a fan of hyphens, dashes if you will so I continue to gain new skills and then apply them so that I can legitimately use hyphens... But I digress, (which, incidentally, is one of my skill sets). Seriously though I have been blessed to have worked with some wonderful people as an actor and as a media creator. I love deep character work and quirky, smart scripts. I am also the current president of Seelie Studios, LLC, a multimedia production and marketing company with (I am proud to say) a decent number of awards and critical acclaim in its so far 16 + -year history. We are in the process of launching some wonderful, nerdy things that I believe will do quite well. Nerdy things are kind of our thing. I am always pleased to meet fellow creators. I wish everyone joy and prosperity and look forward to connecting with some new peeps.

Hi Eric! Welcome and nice to meet you. Happy to have you in the community. Anything fun you're working on right now?

Emily J

Hey Eric Schumacher! I love your energy - did you see this multihyphenate webinar? It feels right up your alley! https://www.stage32.com/webinars/Writer-Director-Producer-How-to-Build-Y...

Eric Schumacher

Thanks for asking Niki H . We expect to start the festival submissions phase for a feature and start pre-release marketing for a very ambitious audio series early next year to be followed by two other projects that are currently in early production or late preproduction. We are working on getting things set for a lot more.

Thanks Emily J. I can't seem to get the system to tag you. I took a look at this. Looks like a fun class and I've taken some other Stage 32 courses. I've been at the multi-hyphenate thing for quite some time, so I think I've got my groove on there. I've had some great mentors over the years who have helped me to learn how to balance it.

Hello, Congrats and Welcome Eric! Would your nerdy side extend to camera hardware? If so, I'd like to share with you the design intricacies of the Obscura lens... aka a "Peephole lens."

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Eric Schumacher. I'm looking forward to seeing the wonderful, nerdy things Seelie Studios, LLC launches! :D
