Introduce Yourself : Hello again!! by James Doane

Hi, James Doane. I hope you're doing great! I used to draw. I started young. I think 5 or 6 years ago. What do you like drawing?

Hey Maurice Vaughan! I have been drawing since I was a little kid. Over the years I have drawn a little bit of everything, but I really like drawing people. That is one reason I am trying to get into animation.

Cool, James Doane. People and weird cartoons were my favorites to draw. Are you studying animation like with webinars and classes or at animation school?

Maurice Vaughan I am studying with some online courses I found and YouTube videos. Having a lot of fun with it. I will start making some shorts soon, and maybe I will share on here... if they turn out OK :)

Thanks for the information, Ashley Renee Smith! I am excited about my plans. I definitely feel led to do this, and I plan on building my own 'animation studio' basically. I can use all the motivation I can get. I have a few ideas for short films, and actually a couple ideas for either long films or a series. I will see where all this goes. Thanks again!

Hey James Doane! I love talking music, especially film scores. What have you liked recently in terms of interesting scores?

Hey Nick Phillips! That's a tough one, because I like so many. A couple of things more recent I like are actually TV series. I love the music in Only Murders in the Building. It's mostly simple piano and strings, but just beautifully written. I also really like the music in The Queen's Gambit. Carlos Rafael Rivera wrote classical guitar music a long time ago (and maybe still does). I am a classical guitarist as well, and I have sheet music to a piece he wrote in the 90's. Those 2 shows have some great music though. What styles to you like?

Hey James Doane most recently I loved the score for Conclave, it really enhanced the intrigue and thriller elements to the story and had an almost baroque feel. Also, I love anything that Jonny Greenwood composes for Paul Thomas Anderson films.
