Hi all — I’m Ritchie “Stonian” Johnston, a UK-based screenwriter and novelist who writes comedy with consequences. My work lives somewhere between dark satire and stoner noir, where flawed characters chase redemption, run from conspiracies, or accidentally open a portal to hell. I write features, pilots, and novels — usually with heart, weirdness, and a strong chance of something exploding (emotionally or otherwise). Always open to connect with fellow writers, producers, directors, animators — or just people who appreciate character-driven chaos. Let’s make cool, strange things together.

Hi, Ritchie Stonian Johnston. It's great to meet you. You write the things I like to watch. I'm not sure if I've seen a Stoner Noir though. What are you working on?

Hey Ritchie Stonian Johnston - I just read your pitch deck. This NEEDS to be made. I loved it. Season 1 was very well thought out and I totally related to it - maybe it's because I'm an 80s kid? Not sure. The only suggestion I have is to try it out on someone who is not an 80s kid like me and see how they react. But then again, we might be the target audience. Nicely done man!

Thanks so much I really appreciate that as a fellow 80's kid myself. The idea for it came from a conversation I was having with my kid about how different life was, he didn't and still doesn't believe me I think!

You bet Ritchie Stonian Johnston. You never know who will respond well to this. My daughter is not from that time but most of what she listens to is 80s rock.
