Hello All Checking in with the S32 community. Told myself it's time to get the words from my page into someone's hands. Networking. Not my strongest suit. Working harder at this than anything else. Recently completed a feature length Sci-Fi script, "The Pettygrove Heart" which is making it's rounds to agents and managers right now. Finishing touches on a contained thriller, still untitled. Want to meet cool people. Local producing partners for a short, perhaps web series. Script swap folks. I'm somewhere and want to help with advice. You're somewhere, I need yours. Erick

Hi Erick, I am going through the same thing right now - networking and pitching has not been my thing as I've been so focused on the creative aspects as opposed to the business aspects. I just completed a two week workshop at NYU (2 saturdays) in selling and marketing a screenplay and it was immensely helpful. All the very best to you!!

Networking does suck everywhere else - but not on S32. I came here a year ago with the same mindset. But I gave S32 a chance, now I'm reaping the rewards. You can do it, too.

True that writers know how to turn a phrase, but networking is a challenge for me, too. It's a whole different skill set. But judging from what I've seen since joining S32, there is so much great info and it's a great place to learn.
I hear you on the networking thing. Not my strong suit either. I'm a fellow screenwriter (my intro is somewhere on here). Always happy to trade experiences and scripts too. Nice to meet you.
