Hi there, I'm in Islamabad with my partner and I am keen to make some short films, music videos, feature films, web casts with local actors and directors. I'd be keen on a collaborative story... we could write together if there was interest. I'm thinking a group of 5 - 8. Is there any interest? Thanks, Sara
Are you still in Pakistan?
I will return to Pakistan in early May. We should definitely catch up. I love the idea of a traditional Pakistani story... although I would like to work in English as my urdu is expanding but limited to few words.
I'll sure catch up with you once you're in Pakistan. I think there is a lot of stuff for you to work with here. It's true that the provinces of Pakistan are known by the love stories in their folklore. Love Stories of Heer Ranjha, Sassui Punnhun, and Prince Saiful Malook and Badri Jamala etc are truly popular in Pakistan. There is also a city named Taxila near Islamabad and it's one of the top tourist destinations in Pakistan with a truly rich history. And of course there are some other traditional stories too.
It's indeed an interesting arena for a Feature. You'll definitely get Characters and Plotlines. It's not gonna be a problem. And I think this part of the world holds great potential for Documentaries and Short Films too.
Alright. I'm in. When and Where should we start? By the way, are you Sara's partner?
@Sara Velasquez Started Following you on Twitter and also found your Facebook page and Liked it.
Hi! Sorry I have been M.I.A... I've been traveling. I'll be back in Islamabad next week. Perhaps we could catch up for a coffee and planning session somewhere to talk about ideas? I like how Williem is keen to get started right away! I reckon it is a good idea to start small - so that it doesn't get too overwhelming. I will be back in town after the 11th... so maybe we could catch up that weekend somewhere? -Sara
Hello Sara! Yes, Willem and I have talked about some possibilities. I think we could catch up @ Gloria Jeans, Islamabad or Street Cafe, Islamabad for a coffee and a planning session. We can talk about different ideas and scenarios. By the way, a friend of mine is shooting a short film "Taking Direction" after May 15. It's an Action Thriller. I'm also making a short film soon. It will be a Horror Short or a Drama. Keep in touch! Best, Arslan Baig
Hey! I just responded. I'm back in Islamabad and reacclimatized here so I'm keen for Gloria Jeans or Street Cafe for a coffee and planning session for sure! Does this weekend work? Let me know! I should send my private email, etc. Cheers, Sar
That's Awesome Sara. Yes, this weekend is Fine. How about a meeting @Gloria Jeans on Saturday OR Sunday at 8 pm?
hey guys !! I would want to give a little introduction of myself as I start, I'm a theater actor, model and a film student from Karachi. I've read the discussion you guys were already having and I'm interested in acting in such a project. I've written and performed a script before and I write as a hobby :) If you guys think i'll be able to help you please let me know :) thanks all !!
Hello Hamza. I really appreciate. Sara Velasquez is not doing this "stage play" anymore. I don't know why. Maybe it was quite adult in nature. I can't say for sure. I met her back in May and agreed to help her with her projects. She also agreed to star in my Horror Short. Then she went back to NZ and maybe she hasn't returned as of this writing.
