Living in Atlanta and I’m a new screenwriter. How do I find representation here?

Karen "Kay" Ross

Hey, Darius Moore! Welcome to the community! The most direct way to get your scripts in front of representation is to pitch it to them: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions If you need a reference for structuring your pitch (whether 2-page pitch doc, 5-minute verbal, or 15-30 page pitch deck), then definitely use Stage 32's free Pitching Guidebook: https://www.stage32.com/sites/stage32.com/themes/two/pdfs/happy-writers/Stage_32_Pitching_Guidebook.pdf

After that, it's a matter of continuing to write and continuing to put your work in front of them in an effort to attract representation. It also depends on the rep you want - an agent is not the same as a manager. One is invested in your project and selling it, the other is invested in you and elevating your career. I would highly recommend Spencer Robinson's webinar on attracting a manager: https://www.stage32.com/webinars/Create-TV-Writing-Samples-That-Are-Attr...

But don't take my word for it! You can post in the Screenwriting Lounge for advice on finding representation as well: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting

You may also want to list your loglines on your profile so visiting members can more easily ask you about your scripts: https://www.stage32.com/loglines

Best of luck and keep at it!
