Hi Everyone, my name is Carolyn :)
I introduced myself here 12 months ago as a theatre actor venturing into film and seeking any words of wisdom on some daily self tapes I was doing to get comfortable on camera.
You were all so kind to share your opinions, so I'd love to share part of my journey.... my first ever short which I produced, coordinated and acted in.
Once again I would love to hear your thoughts and I'm very grateful for you taking the time!

I love this overall. This is a very superior product for a first production. Very much a big-budget feel despite its intimacy. I don't love the cutting personally, but that's a stylistic decision of course. To be brutally honest, I think the male talent is not up to the level of the female - it doesn't appear to be a directorial issue.

Thanks for the share, great climax shoving him in the pond where he belongs. I get what @Shadow says about male lead but probably him not up to the level of girl is precursor to bad end to romance.

Lovely acting, Carolyn. You possess much talent!!
I think he did good but she's just on another level with her acting it appears. It seems that keeping up with her would be diffulcult to most people at this point.
Lol at women and the all too common "future" ponderings as well.
How deep was the water where you pushed him in at?
It was raining and he said what I think I heard as "aces" ? What does that mean in English slang? Or what did that mean in that given situation? Little confused on that one. Never heard that word used like that.

Waw it's really nice. I love the feel of it. It's kind of similar to production design to a pilot episode that we shot last summer too.

Never mind about the water question. I rewatched it again and just now realized that the water pushing in part is at the beginning too. Looks like 2 feet.

John James in answer to your questions, 'Aces' is definitely not an English term. David who played Edward and is both American and playing an American, is using 'Aces' in the north American term for something going great. But said with sarcasm, because its really not great.
And my acting goal, is to keep learning, practicing to connect deeper with all the characters I encounter. Where ever it takes me, as long as I'm constantly challenging myself I'll be happy :)

Wow! This was very well done! I enjoyed watching every frame. You're choices and thread-line of thought were so subtle yet apparent. You look very comfortable in front of the camera, and definitely belonged up there. I'd love to get some advice from you!
