Hi everyone
I'm an experienced researcher and business/policy writer, but completely new to screenwriting.
I have acquired a memoir from one of the founders of the environmental movement--and feminist icon--and hope to make a mini-series about it.
Together with another creative, we've developed a detailed treatment and concept and have had positive feedback from several established industry professionals.
As I'm not sure about making a career out of screenwriting (I appreciate it's a fine art), possibly making me/us of lesser interest to agents, I'd love any advice on ways to move our project forward.
Looking forward to connecting with you!
Best wishes
Katy
That memoir sounds like a really exciting project - and biopics are definitely hot right now. All the best!
Thanks for the encouragement Jeff Rohrick !
Greetings Katy Shields =)

Hi Katy, sounds really cool. You have a personal account and it's on such a relevant subject anymore.

Hi, if you would pick up any of those books with stories from some 30 screenwriters, or fiction writers you will find some of the finest made a switch from absolutely no-art professions. Also, business and policy need creativity and original thought so you aren't unprepared, maybe only a little less than lawyers : )
