Introduce Yourself : Who I am Right Now by Forrest Rawls

Who I am Right Now

I don’t want to give a huge dribble about me being an aspiring screenwriter, because aspiring means to be trying to do something. I’ve been sitting and waiting for something to happen off only one script and not multiple because I’m lazy and don’t want to work on others even though I have a couple that have been started and one that is done, and at this moment, just need to be cleaned up. I want to write my way and be able to get something optioned or even sold. Nevertheless, there is a format that I have to abide by, and I’m not there yet. I’ve had requests by companies and agencies to read my script “Ring of Wishes,” but nothing ever came from it, other than it needs some more work. So, my introduction is this. I’m a writer, but mostly a dreamer. I’m creative, but lazy. I know this not the proper way to introduce myself, but I want to be honest. I know this may hinder me from making an impact in my career, because no one likes an honest person anymore it’s all about lies and money. I’m sorry to have rambled on. However, this is who I am right now. I’m trying to change and trying to be different and do something and to not be lazy. I’ve spent over a week on revamping my main website and my blog. With the help of monetizing and becoming an affiliate I can try to contribute to my house hold financially, I have a donation option and my comic book up to try to sell and soon an app that I’ve put together for Android to try to sell to those whom want an easier way to see my blog. In conclusion, my name is Forrest L. Rawls cousin of Wilson Rawls, the man whom became a success in his later years. I will create a heartwarming script as if I were writing, “Where the Red Fern Grows. “ I’m going to be a success in my later years and become the dreamer whom have his dreams come true not because someone helped, but because he did the work. Thank you all who made it to the end. You help inspire me to get things done.

I agree with you Forrest -- "aspiring" is a loaded and self-defeating word. I just used it in my introduction and wish I had worded it differently! good luck with everything...

PS: "Red Fern" was my favorite book growing up...

Forrest, what you think is laziness is really procrastination. That just means you're a writer. Welcome to the family.
