Introduce Yourself : The crytal web by Alan Button

The crytal web

Hi everyone. Haven't done much writing lately. My research in prehistoric shell midden research has taken priority. Just turned 71 and I know my days are getting short. My screenplay THE CRYSTAL WEB has not been picked up, not even requested to be read. Such a great story. Hate to see it go to waste. Is anyone out there interested? All be well on the Winter's Solstice. Alan G Button

Hiya Alan Button ! Prehistoric shell midden archaeology sounds spine tinglingly thrilling! I would love to see how a screenplay comes out of that. Where are these middens you study? I'm currently in the SW Caribbean, surrounded by shell middens, both human made and biomarine in origin.

And, just so you know... I'm moving your post from the Authoring and Playwriting lounge to the Introduce Yourself lounge... this is a brill intro and it is Introduce Yourself Weekend on Stage 32, so, a perfect fit.

It sounds like you have a screenplay, rather than a book or play... I highly recommend the Screenwriting lounge for some advice and interaction on getting your story onto the silver screen. Also, you are more than welcome to post it on your profile under the loglines and scripts section. Truth be told, I'd probably be the first one to take a peek at it.

Cheers, mate!

Happy belated birthday, Alan Button! Do you have a pitch deck for "The Crystal Web"? Great title by the way.

To Morgan Aitken: All four of my feature screenplays have been listed on the Profile/longlines section for some time. I would be happy to send you the complete screenplay THE CRYSTAL WEB if you would share your email. Also, we have some 2,000 prehistoric shell middens along the entire coast of Maine. Between Port Clyde and Pemaquid Point (my area) we have 214 sites of which I've spent the last 20 years researching. Most dates are of the Ceramic Period beginning 2700 years ago representing a tribe, the Wawenocs, who were thought by many to not exist since they for the most part died out during the pandemics of 1617 & 1633. I'm presently creating a Power Point telling the story and all the research surrounding the Younger Dryas Event which occurred 12,800 years ago. Hopefully this could be used as a lecture devise.
